The 2 Desert Steel Artichoke Agave replaced 2 live, real artichoke agave (agave parryi). The original, live agave were years old; lower leaves dying and where the tough, lower leaves had been removed, the plant looked old and no longer attractive. Both plants took periodic watering depending on the season. The Desert Steel Artichoke Agave duplicated the size and shape of my original agave perfectly; came already assembled and now no maintenance whatsoever.
